Are you, or do you know, an aspiring young musician aged 9-16? As part of this year’s 10th anniversary festival, Larlee Creek Hullabaloo is happy to be offering a Hullabaloo Rock Band Camp. This camp is geared towards students who are interested in being part of a band, and is open to students with any level of musical experience. Spend the entire week working one-on-one with professional musicians and educators Andrew and Nikki Waite (Andrew Waite and the Firm) of Island Rock Camps.
Island Rock Camps have been offering similar music camps in Charlottetown for the past 4 years. This will be a fantastic experience, exposing kids to creating, playing, improvising and performing. To cap it all off, students involved in the Hullabaloo Rock Band Camp will get to play on the festival stage! All skill levels are welcome and instrumentation includes voice, piano, guitar, bass, drums, fiddle, ukulele, brass, woodwinds and anything else of interest.
Camp will be held Tuesday, August 8th to Friday, August 11th from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Perth-Andover Middle School. Lunch is not provided but kids can pack a lunch and eat on site (no peanuts) or leave (with a parent) during the lunch hour. The kids will then get to perform as a band on Saturday, August 12th at the Larlee Creek Hullabaloo!
